Explanations

Lying down. On your back (if necessary slightly skewed to the right), outwardly motionless, alert.

Technical sleep. The aim here is to cross over directly into the sleep state without a transitional stage (“a gradual darkening” etc.). It is to be expected that this (initially) won’t be successful, but if so one should continue to make an unbroken effort to get closer to it.

Note taking while walking around. For this protocol, you abandon your original position and work while standing or walking. You can walk up and down the room, or visit the toilet, etc. This helps with the production of additional self-alignment possibilities once you have returned to your lying down position.

In addition to that, you can use the time to make written notes, draw sketches, etc., which you can draw upon for hints at the end of the overall summing up in your reporting session.

Explanations

Lying down. On your back (if necessary slightly skewed to the right), outwardly motionless, alert.

Marking your boundaries L. A precise assessment takes place in the lying-down position, of where the “alien” and “home” begin and continue on. While doing it, begin at first with the body. The relevant areas are then also extended, as the case may be. In the note taking and reporting phases, the results are then documented in a schematic and graphic sketch.

Orienting yourself by your avoidance direction. In the lying down position, determine your current overall body direction (e.g., the situation as determined by gravity) and immediately just on the impulse level, meaning without making any outward movement, turn in the other direction. If this is successful, then take a bearing once again upon the currently opposing direction on the impulse level, and so on.
